Family Plumbing Business Evolves Into Luxury Showcase

In 2000, Jeffrey Goodman decided to go north. His family's plumbing business, Goodman Supply, expanded from its South Lamar location after 60 years in Dallas when he realized the next boomtown was Frisco.

According to his research, Mr. Goodman found that Frisco, McKinney and Celina would each grow by 200,000 in the next 20 years and that the overall market in Frisco would show home prices hovering around $250,000.

Luxury homeowners and homebuilders in the area, he realized, had been neglected in the upscale kitchen and bath department.

Celina School System - Celina ISD

Why move to the small town of Celina Texas? Perhaps you're dismayed with the big city school systems, not to mention the price of private schools. Some parents think that smaller towns offer their children a better quality education than the typical big-city school system. If you're not too keen on Carrollton ISD, Dallas ISD or Plano ISD because of the high student/teacher ratio and other big city-school issues, you may consider Celina Schools a more welcome place for your child's education.

With only four schools in the city, your child is bound to be more than just a number!

Celina Texas is a town north of Dallas that's destined for greatness. As peaceful as any small-country town can be with vast plains of grass, cattle, ranches and farms--it's hard to believe it's so close to the city. The roads in Celina are great--paved, well constructed and ready for the influx of suburbanites sure to move to the city in the next few years in search of sprawling land and serene small-town country feel.

An excerpt from the Celina Record of 1937 states: " If you are casting about for a good place to make your home you should visit Celina and see for yourself what it has to offer. Some here occasionally say the grass is greener elsewhere and move away, but most of them decide there is no use trying to find a better place in which to live and rear their families, come back and settle down firmly fixed in their belief that trying is a waste of time".

While the country feel of the area will remain, homes are being built in droves in this quiet North Texas city.
